ABOUT:
Interview to CHRISTINA 04/23/08 :

Where and when were you born? I was born in Edmonton Alberta Canada

What is your profession? I am a professional dancer

Were you involved in sports or fitness prior to bodybuilding and how did you get started with weight training? I always watched the girls on t.v doing fitness competitions, I wanted to look like them and compete in fitness, so I started working out, it was difficult because I was so tall and skinny.

Was it a goal for you to compete in bodybuilding competitions right from the beginning or was it something that grew in your mind as time went on and you saw the progress in your body? I wanted to do fitness, but seeing that I am not flexible and have no gymnastics training, I decided to compete in bodybuilding.

Can you give me your competition history? 2002 Muscle Beach I placed 1st in women's heavyweight, 2004 ABBA Alberta Provincials I placed 2nd in women's heavy weight. In 2005 ABBA Alberta Provincials I placed 1st in Women's heavyweights. I plan to compete in Figure this year in the provincials and then the Canadian nationals in June. It will be different competing in figure but, a new challenge.

Which contest has been your biggest success; which has had the most meaning to you? This last competition in 2005 was my biggest success because I won women's heavyweight a goal that I set since I started, I'm very proud. My 1st competition ever was the most meaningful because I proved to myself I had the drive, the dedication to compete, to accomplish the most challenging thing I have done in my life, and I did it!!!

Please tell me something about your training routine (ie: how many days per week / training split /cardio, etc.) I don't have a set routine, but, normally it's 4-5 days on and 2-3 days off, now that I'm training for figure it's not quite as intense, not quite so much heavy weights, it's nice gives my body a bit of a break.

What is your favorite exercise in the gym and which one you don't like so much? I love training arms, I love to feel that pump after where it's hard to lift your water bottle to take a drink afterwards, intense, I think women look sexy with toned defined arms.. besides growing up I has stick arms, I finally have some muscle there I'm gonna work them to show them off!!!

Which body part is your best in your opinion? I think my ass and legs are my best body part, I deffinately have one, and it's still very round.

If you don't mind would you give me some stats (best lifts and some body measurements)? My best bench was 255 (that was a while ago) I squat 325, I leg press 650, arm curl 55 dumbells.. chest 38 waist 27 hips 38 my thighs are 24.

What do you enjoy about training for competition....what do you enjoy about the 'off season'? I love the dedication I have and the drive to look the best I can when I'm training. The off season is the junk food,, I admit it I do love some junk food.

Please tell me about what you do when you don't work out ( hobbies, what do you do to relax?, etc.) I'm kinda a workaholic, that's all I do.

What do you enjoy most about the bodybuilding/fitness lifestyle? I love how healthy I feel, I love the look of being toned, I love lifting my shirt and having a 6 pack almost all year round, it's also nice to see others around you doing the same thing, being fir and healthy. In my opinion, I think everyone should workout to be fit and healthy.

What are your competition goals or personal future goals? I'd really like to compete in figure for awhile, take some gymnastics classes and adventually compete in fitness competitions. I"d like to get into some fitness modelling as well.

Definitely stay fit and healthy!!!!!!!
